EyeTV Hybrid - perfect for those who do not watch TV

Why should one buy a "tv-stick" for your computer if you can now see movies and TV series online? Exactly! My view is that this is the ideal gadget for those people who do not watch TV anymore, just like me! So why get it? Because it has an extremely easy to use interface, which a) downloads the TV programme and simply lets you click on it to b) record films and TV shows for you to watch at a late time or simply export to your iTunes! I love watching various TV series on iTunes; it has cost me a fortune, even though I know some of them are on cable TV. My lifestyle however doesn't allow simply showing up every Tuesday at 5pm and sitting in front of the TV to watch a programme I like! EyeTV is the perfect solution. I am actually surprised how much money this little gadget has saved me, by allowing me to record movies instead of buying them on iTunes or renting out DVDs! Ok, you wouldn’t get the latest blockbusters on it, but for TV series and old classics, it’s great! There are various versions of EyeTV, the one I have is the EyeTV Hybrid working on a Mac. It’s fantastic! I am not sure why the reviews are so poor on Amazon. It’s a must for any Lost, Madmen, and etc addict out there! Elgato EyeTV Hybrid

Philips Shavers - Keep it simple

Here you can see two shavers from Philips. One costs 11 EUR and the other more like 40 EUR. My advice having had both is to stay away from any expensive shavers, they will never match a real shave, plus there is hardly a difference between them and the basic models! I bought the simple Philips shaver close to 10 years ago. It’s extremely handy and great value for money. I primarily use it for travelling (1 item, instead of 2 items to carry) or when I am in a rush and have to shave "on the way". The expensive version is a bit fancier and has more flashing lights and beeps, but in the end, you still have to shave yourself, so don't waste your money, by the cheap one instead! And if you find out that you hate electric shavers, well done you have only lost 11 EUR!

Asus EeePC Netbook

I do not intend to review laptops on this site, but could hardly resist saying a few words about my latest toy. A brand new Asus EeePC for 400 USD. With the new Windows 7, 10 hour battery life and 2 GB of RAM, what else does one need! All I was really after was a small machine to a) web browse b) read documents c) use skype d) watch a movie on iTunes! It's perfect. It does what it's supposed to and it's almost the size of a Kindle. It's not light, but then again I don't intend to carry it a purse either! I have no reason to argue why it's better than competition, because I haven't really used other netbooks; however what I know is that the price of this one is attractive! Below is a link to one on Amazon, but it hasn’t got the 2GB of RAM, hence I presume it is cheaper. Here is a link to one at amazon I found: Asus EeePC.
